Swimming lesson 1-Reflection

Swimming Reflection.

WAL:new swimming skills

Today Tamaki primary was going to go the pools for lessons on how to swim.

The room 9 & 10 boys were going at 12:30 to the pools for there lesson, We also went with room 3.

When we got there had to buddy up with a room 3 student.

When we got inside Room 2 and room 7 was already swimming.
Since it was our first lesson One lady came over and told us the rules of the swimming pool.
Then she asked if anyone could swim the whole length of the pool or half and if we could we had to line up in one line and walk to there new swimming instructor.
I couldn't swim half or full so I went to another group and our swimming instructors name was Owen.
When we first got in the it was a little warm and then Owen asked for all of our names and our year levels.
Then he asked Me and Alo to stand in the front and then we had to do freestyle to the other side of the pool we did that 5 times and then we had to swim under the water and then come back up and then do it again we did that 5 times to.
Then it was time to get out so we said thank you to owen and went to get changed.

Technology reflection

Today in the morning Room 9 &10 were getting ready for technology and we had to get our technology book or our netbooks.

Then ms Komor did the role for both classes and then she asked us to line up out side to walk to the bus when we got to the bus I said hi to the bus driver and then we left.

When we got to Tamaki college we had to got to go to our glasses and when we got there Ms Ferguson our teacher for graphics asked us to come in and find a table to sit.

Her first instructions was to think of someone to make a clock for and what Kinds of things they like.

I was making a clock for my friend Sifa because he was the person that helped me with maths.

He liked Tonga and Horses so I was going to make him a clock that was a circle with the Tongan patch inside and a horse in the middle.

We had to draw what it was going to look like to see if we liked what it looked like.

Then when we finished we had to tidy up and pack away our netbooks.
Then we went back to school.

Ancestor Poem.

Today Room 9 were working on Writing an ancestor poem.
This my ancestor poem that I have written and I was stuck and then kelly gave me an Idea and then I wrote the rest myself.
When I was writing this We had to think about what our ancestors did and would they be proud of me.
I had to add Both of my cultures so that everyone would know that I am not only one culture and I am half cast.
When I read everyone else poems I felt like My poem was the shortest.
So I added a little bit more to my poem and i added lots of photos that relate to the poem like the coconuts Palm trees and a photo from tonga and samoa.

Tongan language week Reflection.

Today It was Tongan language week we had to dress up.

Most of our class was dressed up and the rest was just in school uniform.The first thing we did was technology.

when were getting ready for technology I was looking around at everyone to see what they were wearing.

We all had to bring a tongan dish for others to taste.

After technology It was Morning tea and We were playing touch on the top court.

After morning tea We had to pack up for the special assembly when We lined up outside room ten was lining up to so we had to all walk together to the assembly.

When we got to the hall it looked nice because There were lots of parents there to watch there the performances.

The dances were cool to watch because Everyone that danced new the dance well.

At the end of the assembly the teachers did a performance and all the juniors Jumped up onto the stage and started to dance with all the teachers.

kiwisport reflection

WALT:Put what we have learnt at hip hop into our own dances.

Today in the morning I was late to school because I Woke up late.

When i got to school I walked up stairs but my class wasn't there and I didn't know where they were so I asked Sharon do you know where Room 9 is and she said they are probably in the hall.

When I checked the hall My class was in there.When i walked in Toma explained what we were doing and what we were doing was choreographe. My group was Rosemary and Toma we were doing a dance with the smurf,Janet jackson and James brown we had to put them all together and It was a pretty cool dance but When we finished doing it Jazmen the teacher asked us to come and sit down then she said that every single group had to present there dances.

The first group was Gary and Tevita they dident come up with anything so the just had to choose 3 Dances that were on the board.

When she choose our group we were a little nervous but we still did our dance and it was fun doing it in front of the whole class.

The last group was Siale and Ana me and Toma thought that there dance was the best and the longest.

They were confident and not shy to perform in front of the   

class.After they were done We said Thank you to Jasmine and Left the room in a Line.
