Kiwisport reflection

WALT:Throw a shot put properly.

Today at 9:40 room 9 had to put our netbooks away and line up outside there was only a little bit of us because some people were doing a test with Ms Komor so Kelly was taking our class to Kiwisport.
Image result for dodgeballWhen we arrived to the fields Coach Allen said good morning to us and we said it back he said that we were going to be playing dodge ball.
First he put us in 2 groups and the we had to stand on the line then he blew the whistle and some people ran to get a ball I did and when I got it I chucked it at Tevita and it hit him in the bum me and him were laughing then I got hit because I wasn't focused then I had to sit out until the last person was out.


When we finished that we had to pair up with another person and then get a soft shot put.
I went with Tevita then when we got a ball we had to line up on the long line on the field.
Coach Allan told us how to throw a shot put he said that you needed to hold it in front of your ear and keep it there until you throw it but you had to throw it of you palm not your fingers.
My ball went high but not far then Tevita had a turn and his one went far and high because he chucked it.
Then we had to keep doing that so we could get use to it so we could be good at shot put.
The part I found challenging was trying not to chuck it because I was use to chucking a ball.
The thing I need to work on is throwing it far instead of throwing it high.

House chants reflection

Yesterday when we got back from Te Tuhi we had to go straight to our houses for athletics when I walked in everyone was sitting down on the mat waiting for the leaders to arrive I am one of the leaders the other leaders are Falakiko,Sene,Losana and frances I was the first there so I just started talking to the students about there day.
If you don't know what Athletics is it is A day where there is four houses and they race to see who the fastest is and to see which is the best house the houses are Benghazi is green witch is my house ,Tobruk is red,Tripoli is blue and alamain is yellow.When the rest of the leaders arrived we could finally start I had to start a chant wich was give me a ben it was a little quiet so Kiko told everyone to be louder because we could hear the storm outside and tobruk but we couldn't hear anyone else.

When the bell rang we had to walk to get our bags and then go home my voice was sore because I was yelling too much.

Te tuhi reflecton.

Today after morning tea room 9 had to pack up because we were going to Te tuhi we had to wait for the bus for 10 minutes when the bus arrived we had to wait for room 10 to get of the bus When we got in the bus all the boys went to sit at the back so we could sing and rap.

When we started moving we started talking When we arrived The girls had to get of first then the boys when we sat down inside it smelt like coffee we were just waiting on salome to come and take us to teach us We had to go to the auditorium and there were lots of chairs in a semi circle . At school we had to make up a play with 4 friends so we could present it at te tuhi our play was about The three little horses it was like the three little pigs but instead if pigs it was horses and instead of a wolf it was a tongan man.
This was my groups play.
After everyone's plays we had to go inside the class room and make a poster that reflect our play here is a picture of my poster.
After that we had to clean up and line up and walk to the bus.It was our last time at te tuhi so we all said bye to Salome and walked off.

Fitness Reflection

Today after morning tea room 9 & 10 had to line up in 3 lines on top courts.When we did that we were waiting for Ms Komor and Ms Kyla to come so they can give us instructions.
Related imageWhen they got there we had to run around the bike track and when we started I was jogging with George and sifa was trying to catch us and when we reached halfway George wanted me to wait for him so I waited for him for like 30 seconds and then carried on jogging when I got to the orange cone I started sprinting to the top courts.When I got there Sifa wanted to race me and Willow when we got to the starting willow wanted a head start because he said he was going to lose.
When we started I was in the front of Sifa and right behind willow then me and sifa was coming a tie and in front of willow I came second and sifa came first the we had to go into our lines and then we had to split of into our lines my group was with Ms kyla.We were doing
step ups and squats then it was kelly and her one was doing shuttle runs and push ups the the last group was Ms Komor her one I think was the hardest because we had to do star jumps and planks that was the hardest because it was hard to keep jumping.Then we had to go back to class for maths.

Reading test reflection.

Today after morning tea when we came up to class ms Komor told us to sit somewhere where you can't get distracted and do all of your work quietly.When we first started Kelly told us to read all of the text then answer the questions.

The next story was about a family getting ready to go somewhere and in the story there is a boy that 
see his mum packing bags and his dad polishing the car he thought that they were going to got to see someone that is sick or spend another day at the zoo.In the story it says that the boy says that the mum and dad might just going to mow the lawns or watch T.V he said that is what they always do.
After that I had 4 more texts to read I think the challenging part of the test was trying not to talk to anyone.I really enjoyed reading about somethings I dident know.

Kiwisport reflection.

Today at 9:40 room 9 walked to the top courts for kiwisport.When we first got there the people that were going to take us and do it.There names were Allen & Kelly.The first thing we did was a game the game we played was called capture the the cone.To play this game you need 4 hoops and 20 cones and 4 noodles.

The aim of the game was to run to the other teams side and try take there cone there are 5 cones in each hoop and if you get a cone the person with a noodle has to try hit you with it and if you don't get hit you run to your hoop and put it in there.My team won 1 game and the other team won the next game.The next game we played was rat & rabbit you had to get a partner and when allen said a name like rat then the rabbit had to chase the person that is rat and try get him before he gets to the yellow line.
I beat Toma all the time and he never won.
Then we had some sprinting practice we just needed to run like a real sprinter like usain bolt.
We had to keep our arms pumping and doing high knees and keep looking straight.
That was all we did for that lesson.

Maths reflection

Today after fitness when we came back we had to get set up for maths.My group was doing word problem solving the questions.
The questions that I had to solve was:


1.Zac had 8 packs of drinks.
Each pack had 6 cans.
How many cans is that altogether?
The answer was 48.

2.Hanni uses 32 carrots to fill 4 bags.
How many carrots does he need to fill 12 bags?
The answer was 96.

After answering both answers me Gary and George did flash cards I was the one who held it up to see who got the answer first and got it correct.Gary won against me and george by lots.It was fun playing it.Halfway through the game Tevita joined in the game.The challenging part of this game was competing with gary because he is a quick thinker and he is smart.
I really enjoyed playing with gary and george even though I lost to them it was fun.

Visiting My family.

On the weekend I went to my auntys house and when I arrived I was thrilled because they were my favorite auntys.
The first thing I did was eat dinner because it was late.
Image result for pig and potato saladFor dinner we had potato salad pig and KFC I was surprised because when I walked in to the kitchen I saw some of my cousins from australia.They were happy when they saw me so I went and sat next to them.After everyone sat down My uncle said the prayer and then the kids started to eat and when I got my food I ate straight away because I dident have lunch.
Image result for rugby live 3I had everything on the table and went outside to eat my cousins followed me outside so we could lay after we ate.We were playing man hunt all over the street and around the house until we had to go inside.When we got inside it was 8:45 so I hopped in the shower and went I got out I started playing PS3 I was playing Rugby league Live 3 and I beat all of my cousins.Then it was time to sleep for the next day.When I woke up in the morning I had a shower and had some breakfast and then went to play some more game.I couldn't go outside because it was raining so I just played game all day.When I was bored I went downstairs to watch T.V and eat.I ate a sandwich with ham cheese and mayo in it,it was delicious.It was dark so I had another shower and then went sleep because i was tired.When I woke up I had to go home to se my mum.

Kiwi can Reflection

WALT:respect others.
Yesterday after maths room 9 had to pack up for kiwi can.
When we were lining up outside Ms komor told us that we have to walk sensible and keep our hands and feet to ourselves.
When we arrived down in the hall we only Ms lilly and when we 
asked for Mister Malu she said he is still sick.
So Ms lilly told us that there is a new topic for the term and it was respect then she told us that we were going to do a energizer and it was called big sally up.
First Ms lily split us up into two groups and when she did we had to go into a circle.And then she said that she was going to play a song and when it started it was saying up and down and when it said down you had to squat down and wait untill it said up it was confusing until we did the second round I started to know the game more well.
After that was done every one had to sit down and Ms lily asked us a question and it was what are we really good at most of the class was rugby and other sports.
  Then it was time to play our activity and it was the same game but the other group had to guess what animal ms lilly was acting out that was a funny game.
The challenging part was the sally game because we had to do push ups that and it was hard.

Writing reflection

To day we had to carry on with our explanation text I had to work my group from yesterday's lesson my group was Lou,Vuni,Tevita,George and me.We were already almost finished we just needed to add a conclusion and check our spelling mistakes and our punctuation.
We were talking about a place where you can show whanaungatanga and feel safe.

EXPLANATION TEMPLATE

Building Confidence.
We can build confidence by programmes such as Kiwi Can/Sport,and performances like FiaFia Night and Christmas in the park.Also when we talk in front of assembly and class we talk with confidence and pride so people can hear us clearly.
We build confidence by practising your confidence in front of your family at home.We also can build it by thinking positive and don't think about what others think of you when you try to be confident.
By showing that we can build it by having the ability to successfully do something well to boost your confidence.
Paragraph Two
What is your second statement or main point? (S.E.E.E)
Building relationships with teachers.
We can build relationships with teachers by learning new things with others.We can get more key ideas from what we have been talking about.We can build relationship with teachers by listening to what the teacher is saying and trying to get more ideas of what the person is talking about.We can also show whanaungatanga with teachers by learning what we have heard about with a group.
Building relationships with teachers is by playing a game that everyone can play including a teacher because we want to build more relationship with others and teachers.
Paragraph Three
What is your third statement or main point? (S.E.E.E)
Encourage.

School is a encouraging place for whanaungatanga.
Encouraging other to follow the values or the school rules. This when you help each other to follow the school values or the school rules. For example when a person is bullying a different person that is when you go and tell them about them about the school rules or the school values. And a different example is when some people are fighting that is when you go and tell them the school rules and the school values.
Conclusion
The conclusion sums up all the ideas and repeats a key message to end.  This could be a recommendation or a personal connection.
To  build relationship with others have relationships with your teacher and encourage people when they need it also build confidence with others so they can feel like you are trying to help them out by boosting it up for them.

The first day back from holidays.

WALT:Reflect about my first day back from school.

Today at school it was the first day back at school and when we got to school my class had to stand up and tell the rest of the class our highlight of our holidays and my highlight was spending time with my Grandpa and Grandma because I haven't seen them for a long time so I was happy that I was going to sleep over at there house.Then we had to go down into the hall for a assembly and after that it was 30 minutes until morning tea so ms Komor told us our new Inquiry topic witch was games.


Related imageDuring morning tea I was watching the rest of the boys play basketball and I was talking to Aumau and Toma.When the bell rang Everyone was telling me that there was fitnes so I walked up to the top courts and went into my line which was line 2.First ms komor told us that we need to run around the bike track 2 times and the come back and line up in our lines and wait for the next instructions and on the first lap everyone was moving slow and jogging and then all of a suddenly everyone started to run there fastest to the top courts.



When everyone was on the top courts then Ms Komor,Ms Kyla and kelly took there groups my group was with Ms Kyla first then Kelly and then Ms Kyla.When we went to all the groups we had to line up in our class lines and get ready to go back to class.

When we got inside room 9 Ms Komor told us that we were going to carry on with our inquiry Or start on maths.I wanted to do maths so I got my maths book and my netbook and worked on my maths for 30 minutes and then moved on to inquiry.When it was lunch I was hungry like I haven't eaten all day so I ate My chicken sandwich and a banana.Then I wanted to watch the boys play rugby,I wanted to play but my leg was injured from My rugby league tournament so I was bored the whole lunch time.

After lunch we had buddy reading the book I was reading to Pauliasi was about Turtles and how they grow up that was a interesting book and now I Know that frogs when they are little they are called tadpoles and they looked more like fish then frogs.

Swimming lesson 1-Reflection

Swimming Reflection.

WAL:new swimming skills

Today Tamaki primary was going to go the pools for lessons on how to swim.
The room 9 & 10 boys were going at 12:30 to the pools for there lesson, We also went with room 3.
When we got there had to buddy up with a room 3 student.
When we got inside Room 2 and room 7 was already swimming.
Since it was our first lesson One lady came over and told us the rules of the swimming pool.
Then she asked if anyone could swim the whole length of the pool or half and if we could we had to line up in one line and walk to there new swimming instructor.
I couldn't swim half or full so I went to another group and our swimming instructors name was Owen.
When we first got in the it was a little warm and then Owen asked for all of our names and our year levels.
Then he asked Me and Alo to stand in the front and then we had to do freestyle to the other side of the pool we did that 5 times and then we had to swim under the water and then come back up and then do it again we did that 5 times to.
Then it was time to get out so we said thank you to owen and went to get changed.
