Buddy reading Reflection

WALT:read books to our buddies.



Today after lunch Room 9 had to waited outside to read with our buddies.The book me and my buddy read was The gingerbread man.
 The book was about one little old man and one little old lady and they were making a gingerbread man and when they put it in the oven the gingerbread man ran outside of the house and the old people were chasing him.Well he was running away he ran past a cow and the cow said wait so I can eat you then he had 2 old people chasing him and a cow.
Then he ran past a fox and he tried to run faster but there was a river in the way sothe fox offered the gingerbread man if he wants to ride on his tail and then the fox said that the gingerbread man is to heavy for his tail so the gingerbread man moved on to the foxes nose then the fox tossed the gingerbread man in the air and chewed him all up.
When we finished reading that book we had to pack up and sit on the mat and drink our milk.

Technology

WALT:put all the stuff we like on to a Google drive

Today my group for technology moved to another class and it was graphics when we got there Ms ferguson introduced herself to our group.Then she wrote a URl on the board so we could type it into our search box.The site was just a spreadsheet where we had to write our first and last name also our email a link to our blogs.
When we finished doing that Ms ferguson showed us a goggle drawing that she made and on it it had a character.This character she had was supposed to be her in a cartoon.She created her character on this site which is called Avatar maker.

I went on this site and made my person and then we had to put it on the google drive and then we had to put on the drive What we like.
I finished mine and now I am blogging about it.

Fitness Reflection

Fitness

WALT:get fit for cross country

Today for fitness Room 9,10 and 8 were all getting ready for our run around the block.The first thing we did was lining up in our 3 lines and then when Ms Komor came she told us to line up and get ready.Her instructions for us was to not run on the grass be careful for the cars that are reversing out of the drive ways and watch out for the road and not to go on the road.She started to count down from 3 then she said go but she called us back because some people were walking on the grass and pushing each other.

So I just decided to go to the of the line so I didn't get pushed in the front.

Then we went but I wanted to catch up to Curtys because he was in the front.I had to sidestep some people to get in front of others.I caught up but I was coming third I tried to get to first but I was tired of catching up to Curtys.

When we were nearly done I was right behind Curtys

Then we got to the finish line and then I asked Ms Morrison if Me and Toma could go drums.

That run felt shorter than when we first started to run around the block so I think that I am getting fitter.

Drums Reflection

WALH:to drum different drum patterns

Today straight after our fitness me and Toma tried to run fast so we could go to music and learn how to play the drums.

When we got there Caleb already started teaching the people that was already the like Room 7.

Room 7 was already there because they never did fitnes with us.The first thing we did was got a bucket to drum on and drum sticks so we could drum with it.

When I got all of the stuff I needed I just copied what Caleb was doing and he was just drumming with his right hand then his left and just carried on doing it for a minute.

After that we were doing right right left left for a minute.

Then the last drum pattern we did was right left right right left right left left.

Then we put it all together and it sounded cool because it was like a real drum beat.

Technology Reflection

  

WALH: to stick our wheels on to our car.
Yesterday we went technology and it was the last day until 

we changed groups,the next class we went to was Ms ferguson.

Since it was the last session with Mister Grundy in hard materials

He said that if we were almost done he would help us towards the end of the lesson so he can help the people that have not started on cutting there wood.

I was nearly finished so he didn't help when we started

All I needed to was stick my wheels on.

Well I was waiting I was helping sifa on his race car he was sand papering the seat for his wood race car.

I was sitting with Siale wich was making helicopter and Curtys wich was making a Pull along horse with wheels and Sifa wich was making Race car. 

When Mister grundy  put on my wheels and he finished I was playing with it and rolling it around.

Kiwi can Reflection

Hi my name is Vuni and Demetrius, and today I will be talking about what we did for Kiwi Can.

So for Kiwi can we were learning about self control and try to control our emotions.  

In Kiwi Can we did a warm up, and the warm up was called Rippa rugby, also known as Tag.

In this game we had to sit in a circle, and then Ms Lilly would choose a person to start. The two students was Siale and Matthew.

After the game we play another game, which was called mat dodgeball. And Ms Lilly would go around the circle again giving everyone a number up to 4 the When she called the number the person who got the number had to run in the middle and everyone else that was not called had to roll a ball and try to get the people in the middle.After that It was lunch time so we had to walk to class quietly but the boys started talking so we had to walk back down to kiwi can and walk back up and we went outside.

Maths

Today for maths room 9 had a new task and it was to login to our new study ladder that Ms Komor set up for us.

The first thing we had to was to go onto our task that Ms Komor set up for us.I was Doing my maths task but it was very hard because I diden't understand so I just asked The teacher and she told the class that if we don't 

know it we had to research it until we know the meaning.I was practicing my multiplication and fractions skills and I got some of them right and wrong that's why I still need to practice.

Today I have finished 3 cinquan poems.We have been learning about poems and what kinds of poems but this poem is the one we have been focusing on.

Maths

Today I am blogging my maths work so far.I liked working on this task because sometimes it was to easy then when we got further me and Gary started to get confused because we did not understand what the question said.
The we went to Ms Komor and she explained it to us and after that she just asked us maths questions about what she just explained but we still didn't understand so she gave us an example
then she asked maths questions then we had to use the strategies that the problem had.
After all of the questions Ms Komor asked me and Gary understood what to do.

My Dreams

Today room 9 went into room 10 to learn about carriers and what they mean.First Ms Aireen talked to us about what we will be doing in the lesson,She said we will be learning what carriers really means and What our dreams were when were young and our dreams now.These are me and Sene's dreams.

We did this in the first block it.We only had 20 minutes to complete this task so I worked with my freind Sene.

I still have these dreams but the my most favorite dream is to be a rugby play rugby in the NRL.

Kiwisport

WAL:new dances that relate to hip hop.

Today  room 9 had kiwisport.For kiwi sport we are doing hip hop.At hip hop our teachers name was jasmine she is from england.The first thing we did was  warming up.For warming up we had to do the dance we learnt last week which was the Smurth and James brown.This week we learnt the elf. For the elf elf dance where have to  lift your knee then put both arms  next to your knee and then lean back.The second dance was janet jackson the name was named after janet jackson which is michael jackson sister.

This dance was sort of like the dab but you have to flick your wrist and you move your feet slowly.

Then we put all the moves together and it was a cool dance because we all new what to do and we all joined in.

Reading

IALT:reflect on what I have read.

For reading this week we have been reading an article about the biggest kites in the world.

In the story it talks about a group of people who made a kite then others saw it and kept asking the group to make kites so 

making kites became their job.They made a big kite called

 big bite which became the biggest kite in the world.

They only made one mistake in a country when some kids were playing on a tractor that was holding a kite  then one 

kid released the brake and the kite was dragging the tractor and the tractor ran over one of the kids but lucky she only cut 

her arm and didn't die.

Maths

WALT:get better in our multiplication

Today for maths me and Sene have been practicing our multiplication skills on speed skills.Speed skills is a game wher it comes up with questions and you type the answer in.There is only 1 minute to get as many answers as you can.

I tried my best but Sene kept beating me by 1 this was his first time beating me he got 42 and I got 41.

The challenging part was when I played level four division because I only got 10.We play speed skills everyday before we go onto our maths task.
